Dear God,
It's me again. I've been hurt so many times that I am about to turn apathetic. If this is the marketplace, I don't mind as I would have expected to be attacked in the most vicious manner anyway. But this, my Father, is an organization that bears the emblem of Christ. Why are we being slaughtered daily by our own people? Wouldn't it make better sense for us to be out there in the fields? At least if we get martyred, it's for the unbelievers and one or two might come to know you as a result. But here, in your organization and getting slashed mercilessly by people from various departments, all because we are trying to do our job well? We would have died in vain.
It's mind-boggling, Father. Why not send me back to the marketplace? I have eternity in heaven to spend with your people, some of whom are wasting time here getting into petty quarrels and showdowns, but for many unbelievers, the only chance that they may get to know you is a result of our being in the marketplace. Send me back lest I turned apathetic, Father. I want to shine in this present darkness before I get snuffed out, by your people or your enemies.
Your child,
Thomas
