A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate;
A time of war, and a time of peace.
What profit has the worker from that in which he labours? I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from
beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 NKJV
And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God's purpose in this is that people should fear him.
Whatever exists today and whatever will exist in the future has already existed in the past. For God calls each event back in its turn. Ecclesiastes 3:14-15 NLT
There is a time for everything. We may not always understand why things happen when they happen. Ever made too many mistakes? Perhaps it's the only way we will learn not to repeat them. Failure is a great teacher on humility to the proud. What about that persistence that will not give up in the face of rejection? Persistence may be an offspring of sincerity and determination. But it its time, wisdom is the teacher that breaks stubbornness and gives rest to the soul.
Circumstances may seem bleak at times. Risks too foolish to undertake. Opponents too powerful to challenge. Hearts and mindsets to difficult to change.
Nevertheless, let's learn to trust Him. He knows the beginning of the world to the end. Think it this way, the days of our lives are unfolding in reverse order. Whatever exists today and whatever will exist in the future has already existed in the past. For God calls each event back in its turn. Ecclesiastes 3:15 NLT
