Update from Lynn

Dear all,

It has been over 2 months since I last wrote to you. As you might recall, there was mention of a trip to USA for Campus Harvest Conference (6 days) and a mission trip to China (14 days) in my last email. It has been over a month since my return to London from those trips in March/April. Going on those trips have confirmed for me Campus Ministry (ministry with only young college people) is not my passion and calling. At the same time, going to China has confirmed for me the call God has placed in my heart last June (when I was home in Singapore for summer) to go to China.

My current work visa with the church expires on 23Aug and my current flat lease ends on 30June. Colleges practically shut down over the summer break as most of the International students go home by the third week of June. My responsibilities in church also winds down significantly towards the end of June. As I am not going to renew my contract with the church and that my flat lease ends in June, my pastor agrees that it makes logical sense for me to leave at the end of June instead of August (when my work visa expires).

So, my leaving date has been confirmed. I am leaving the church office on 23June and I will be flying home to Singapore on 29June (arriving 30June). I feel sad about leaving London - leaving friends and relationships I have come to know and build over the last 3.5 years. At the same time, I feel ready to go home and step into a new God-ordained season. Please pray with me as I continue to seek God about China - when, how etc.

God bless,
Lynn

PS. I am currently applying for jobs in China through the internet and through Chinese friends.
