Miracles for little children

Last night, my daughter told me about a light bulb which burnt out the night before. She said on the morning after, when she switched on the light, it came on, though after a while it went dead.

She told me it was God who made the light come on. I was tempted to "enlighten" her by giving her some scientific explanation but then I thought, how can I be so sure it wasn't God who made the light come on? Perhaps she prayed before switching on the light, and God answered her in response to her faith?

Even in my work, I prayed often when things go desperately wrong and defy explanations. Then when God answered and help is rendered, I simply accept them as miracles. Why shouldn't I let my daughter accept the light as a miracle?

May God bless you,
Thomas
