- You get caught in the "live" emergency drill of terrorism at selected MRT stations and bus interchange, arrived late for work, hair in a mess, parts of your clothes blown away (ok, ok, I exaggerated, just the first part)
- You miraculously escape this drill
- You get to vote in the General Elections
- The MP(s) in your constituency miraculously get a walkover, and you don't get to vote (not again)
- You will see Jesus coming back for the second time
- You won't
You and I must face Jesus when he comes back
The BIG question is: do we face HIM as a friend or foe?
Luke 21:25-28 says "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."
(Think tsunami, Katrina, terrorism, ...)
And in verse 36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.
(Are we waiting with bated breath for His return, or are we too busy with other things)
Further, in 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise (of coming back), as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
Like terrorism and the polls, the date and time of Jesus' return is not known.
But unlike terrorism and the polls, God doesn't seek to put anyone down; He wants as many of us to be on His side as possible when He comes.
Rev 3:11 says I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.
Be blessed:)
