Letter to LIFE group

Dear brothers & sisters in Christ

Greetings in the powerful Name of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ!

Four times over the weekend, God intervened & saved me from accidents - thrice while I was driving & once when I was jogging. After the first near-accident, I felt uneasy & called on the Lord to keep me safe. Who knows there was to be 2 more close shaves on the road & one as a pedestrian?

But God is faithful & He watches over us round the clock. I'm thankful to have escaped from harm by His grace, so as to be able to testify of His power and love.

We had a wonderful first LIFE meeting last Fri. Thank you to all who came & supported the group with love & prayer. Thanks for your testimonies as well. They are a reminder of God's goodness, faithfulness & love flowing through the lives of saints who have gone before us. Let us give thanks for each brother or sister in Christ who is or has been a great blessing & encouragement in our walk. Their steadfast faith have been a great example for us, even during the most difficult moments of their lives.

By the same token, I encourage all of us to meet faithfully for LIFE. We may not be at our best, we may in fact be struggling, barely coping with work, family and life, but God is able to minister to us & through us. Remember the 5 loaves & 2 fishes. They seemed insignificant in the face of the situation at hand but God can use them powerfully to meet needs beyond our own.

So come, bless and be blessed. When we meet faithfully, we're merely doing what the apostle urged us in his letters to the church. It is for the body of Christ. It is for God.

I will share more about what to prepare for the coming meeting in another mail. Meanwhile, think about how we can respond to God who created us lovingly, and gave us everything we need. Some have shared that we should worship and praise God more. Others have said to seek & walk in His will, and to honor God. Do these and more in the coming weeks as we reflect on God's love and care for us individually & as the church.

The Lord bless & keep you safe.

Thomas

Don't give up meeting regularly. Encourage one another in person
