Try and picture this, all the days of our lives have been composed and set down by God.
Every stage of our lives is crafted by the Creator but we decide how we respond to our circumstances, to the people around us.
Life in this world is but the tip of the iceberg in eternity terms. Between birth and death, our life unfolds and our destiny takes shape.
When do we take hold of it? When do we let go and trust that while we are not trying so damn hard, He is still working for the good of those who love Him?
Romans 8:28
I lean on faith because I believe God exists and as He moulds my heart, mind and soul; He is shaping me into how I'd be in eternity.
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6 NKJV
A pastor from my church passed away two days ago. Although I did not know her on a personal basis, I remembered her as a feisty lady,
forward thinker, Spirit-filled theologian, and a great teacher.
On my way to work today, morning has just broken and the skies were covered with the hues of the rainbow. In the air, serenity intertwined with eternity.
As I remembered Pastor May Ling, I believed she had lived a full life and had moved on to be in the presence of God forever.
In the words of the Apostle Paul, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8 NKJV.
Death will not take away the gift of eternal life from His children, when we will exist in the fullness of the goodness of God in us and around us forever.
Similarly the challenges that exist in this life will not stop us from longing for the desires of our heart to be fulfilled, for dreams to come true.
Take heart,
