Lord I give You my heart
Come renew first love
I choose to live all my days
In the glory of Your grace
For thus says the LORD to the house of Israel: "Seek Me and live." Amos 5:4 NKJV.
Live in Hebrew means "chayah", which means to live; to revive - to keep alive, certainly, give (promise) life,
(let, suffer to) live, nourish up, preserve (alive), quicken, recover, repair, restore (to life), revive (by God), surely, be whole.
So the LORD said to Moses, "I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name."
And he said, "Please, show me Your glory." Then He said, "I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before you.
I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion." Exodus 33:17-19 NKJV.
Glory of God, in Hebrew "kabed", in a good sense (numerous, rich, honourable); to make weighty - abounding with, to honour, to prevail, to promote, be rich.
Grace, "chen" - kindness, favour, graciousness. Moses knew what it meant to find favour in the eyes of God. Moses knew God intimately. God knows Moses wholly as person. Moses abided in the presence of God even as the presence of God abounded with Moses. Moses had lived in the richness of God's favour, kindness and graciousness. What about you and I?
