My nephew sang me a song that night. "Time to Say Goodbye" by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman.
We were reading in his room. He remembered a song. Said he wanted to sing it for me.
His gesture was packed with seriousness and sincerity. He didn't get all the notes right.
But he sang with conviction (even the Italian portion). You should have seen him.
He belted out the tunes as he listened intently to the song on the system.
Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others. Luke 18:9 NKJV.
When evil prevails around me, it sickens me. Not so long ago, I allowed my anger to get the better of me.
I felt unjustified and wanted recourse. I am glad I didn't because GOD turned the event around eventually.
I wasn't faultless, my attitude was haughty. Short of disappearing from the face of the earth, in the midst of failings and sinfulness, we are to be very jealous over the condition of our hearts. Having a deep consciousness of GOD comes not from ignorance or bliss, but to be still and know that He is GOD and that someday He will judge the righteous and the unrighteous.
Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart. Luke 18:1 MKJV.
I pray you'll be our eyes, and watch us where we go
And help us to be wise, in times when we don't know
Let this be our prayer, when we lose our way
Lead us to the place, guide us with your grace
To a place where we'll be safe
We ask that life be kind, and watch us from above
We hope each soul will find another soul to love
Let this be our prayer, just like every child
Needs to find a place, guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe
The Prayer
