Our Father in Heaven
This is another thanksgiving note from your child.
Thank you for answering my prayers. I asked and you gave. Most people may have dismissed the thought of a supernatural God intervening to grant small worldly requests, but I know you have done exactly that. 2 months ago, while rather new in my new job as a sales manager, I prayed and asked that you help me meet my sales quota for that month. With no sales to boot in the first month, and a miserable $850 deal in the 2nd month, anyone would have guessed I am prime candidate for being let go. However, you intervened and helped me garner over $25,000 worth of sales in the 3rd month and over $70,000 worth of sales in the 4th month.
That was not all. As we missed our quarterly team target in the 2nd quarter, I needed to show that we can hit the quota in the 3rd quarter. Yesterday, you gave us the order that pushed our team sales beyond the quota for this quarter. How marvellous! It would not have been possible without your help, knowing that such a big deal may easily take several more weeks to close under normal circumstances.
I know you are with me in this team and in this job. While I have repeatedly asked that you help me move to a non-sales role which suits my strengths better, you have nonetheless given me the strength and opportunities to excel in a sales role - quite remarkable for someone with profound hearing loss in both ears.
Thank you for your miracles in my life. As I walk with you and gradually find my identity resting upon you rather than my own abilities and limitations, I find this transformation the best present yet. Continue to mould me and shape me, so that despite the weaknesses present in this frail body, your strengths are evident and ever-present, and that this life will bear much fruit to touch lives in this world.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen.
