Prayer for a brother

Dear GOD,

I pray for my brother Cecil. LORD, You know what he is going through.
Please be with him and strengthen him, O LORD. Surround him with Your
enduring love!

It isn't easy dealing with breakdowns in relationships, but LORD, You
can empathize with my brother. You experienced denial and betrayal
from Your beloved disciples. You know how it feels to have your
beloved turn upon you.

LORD, grant my brother wisdom and understanding. Help him deal with
the challenging situation of working through a divorce, while having
to meet his wife at her brother's wedding. It isn't easy dealing with
emotional hurts like this but You are able! You are willing and You
are faithful, LORD. I cry out to You, Father, that You help my brother
and his wife. LORD, I still hold out to the hope that they will
reconcile. Father, when all else seems hopeless, we have our unceasing
hope in our LORD Jesus Christ. Please hear our prayers and heal this
relationship. Let the open wounds heal, Father! Bind them together
again in Your love. Your love is a reconciling love. You reconciled us
unto Yourself. Please reconcile my brother and his wife.

Thank You, Father.

In Jesus's Name,
Amen

Prayer for brother Tom

Father GOD, I thank you for my brother Tom, and Your love for him.
LORD, Your love is good and it endures forever.

You peer into our heart & see our innermost needs. You hear our cries,
even the silent ones, & you see our tears. You have not taken your
eyes off my brother, neither have You left him. Let him feel Your
arms of love. Let Your peace guard his heart & mind in Christ Jesus.
Comfort him, O LORD! Provide for him as You did for the widow and her
son through the prophet Elijah. For underneath my brother are Your
everlasting arms, O GOD!

Thank You, Father for loving my brother and all of us adopted children
as Your own. We deserve none of the love which You gave us so
generously through our LORD Jesus Christ. This is love that never
fails. Hallelujah!

O thank You, Father! We love you and we lift up Your Name. In the
precious and everlasting Name of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ we
pray,

Amen.
Thomas

From a child to his Father

Dear Heavenly Father

I thank you for everything that you have blessed my household with. I know that your plan is to help us and prosper us, not to harm us. My confidence rests upon you, O Lord, not on my own limited abilities and resources.

There are many times when my prayers revolve around my will instead of Yours and I sincerely ask You for your forgiveness. I ask O Holy Spirit, that you help me pray the Father's will, for I know this pleases Him, just as I'm well pleased when my children do my will.

I pray Father, that You will continue to direct my steps, and help me stay within Your plan in every aspect of my life - career, ministry and all. I believe You will supply all my needs, according to Your riches and glory in Christ Jesus, my Lord and Saviour. And because I know that You will sustain my household and supply our needs, I look ahead with joy and thanksgiving. Thank You for giving us only good and perfect gifts from Heaven. We are truly blessed by all that You are doing for us.

Lord, I pray that you will bless this tiny life, this little unborn child that You are blessing my family with. May this child grow up to be obedient, strong & faithful in You, just like our children Deborah and Rachel. May this child enjoy Your endless favour, as all Your saints do. Lord, I pray that You will bless Veron and this little one, that You will keep them in the most excellent of health, even as this little one grows within the mother's womb. I once again dedicate our household to you. As Joshua said, "as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD". This, O God, is my prayer too.

Your grateful child,
Thomas

A prayer

Our loving Father in Heaven,

Thank you for speaking to me this morning. I know now that the ministry You have given me is to touch lives by sharing my life. This ministry is not an isolated segment of my life, with my work and family life nicely carved out. Rather, it is my whole life that should be shared out in sincerity even as I reach out and serve, so that people see not a perfect image but a life like any other, with its ups and downs, joys and sorrows, a work in progress, just like theirs.

You did not withhold Your love from me, even at times when I disobeyed You. Those moments of disobedience must have disappointed and hurt You, but You did not give up on me. I know You want me to mirror that in my relationship with my loved ones, colleagues and friends. It's love that is unconditional.

When Your Son Jesus Christ walked on earth, He loved and gave His all. That was how He shared Your love to those He reached out to. Help me, O Lord, to live this way. Let me be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry, even as I urge others to do so. Let me also add that I should be quick to love with Your love.

Thank You for exchanging my sorrow with Your peace. I'm much comforted by Your words.
May Your name be blessed forever and ever, O Lord.

In Jesus's name,

Amen
