He Cares

The cold breeze greeted dawn. Just as it had been blowing across the land the whole night, it was sanguine.

Life is fleeting, a lifetime is not enough to love. God is sovereign. The righteous will be vindicated.

 

He was not found in the earthquake. His Presence was not felt in the tsunami. Nor His hand in the disaster we have created.

Where was GOD when our world went into a tailspin? Where was GOD when even our hearts failed us?

 

Then the word of GOD came to him: "So Elijah, what are you doing here?" Then he was told, "Go, stand on the mountain at attention before GOD. GOD will pass by."

A hurricane wind ripped through the mountains and shattered the rocks before GOD, but GOD wasn't to be found in the wind; after the wind an earthquake,

but GOD wasn't in the earthquake; and after the earthquake fire, but GOD wasn't in the fire; and after the fire a gentle and quiet whisper. 1 Kings 19:9,11-12 The Message.

 

Then I heard His still small voice. There I found His presence. As my heart listened, it began to heal. No longer does it gets tossed around in the sea of turbulence and turmoil.

Faith rooted solely in Him. Hope rises again from the ashes of calamity.

 

I am reminded of His grace......The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,

to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD." Luke 4:18 NKJV.

 

When our world went into a tailspin, He was there unseen, loving each person. When no strength remained, He carried us through situations we didn't understand.
