Life Story

Every life has a story. A beginning and an end. Thereafter, eternity.

For those of us who believe in the truth of the gospel, death is not an end in itself but a journey one takes toward heaven.

Losing a loved one is hard. Sometimes it breaks us and we lose our grip on life and give up the desire to go on.

But that will do us no good. Those who are alive have to learn to come to terms with the death of a loved one. Mourn and grieve, then pick up the pieces and learn to live well.

 

For the day will come when we too will leave this world, and those whom we love behind. But we will be joining our loved ones who have gone before us as we enter the eternal life.

Life will not be the same as before. Losing a loved one changes life, changes us, but it does not change an eternal truth. Therefore those who are found in Christ do not lose hope.

In the face of death, it will do the living and the dying good to prepare for it, make those important decisions and arrangements before the time is up. That there may be no regrets.

Taking this journey together eliminates loneliness. The blessed assurance is that God is with us. That Jesus will be waiting to receive His own into eternity with Him when this life is over.

 

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"

She said to Him, "Yes Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world." John 11:25-27 NKJV.
