Mission Possible

For 5 days we were in country X, deploying a new enterprise system. There were many surprises and not a few hiccups along the way (such as multiple power outages and hardware failure), but we thank God for helping us complete this phase of the project successfully.

The days lined up end-to-end with my colleague and I sleeping at 1am and waking up by 5am for the first 4 days. It was sheer hard work, and we were sustained by the amazing strength and wisdom of God. There was no sense of panic, despite the hiccups, and for each problem, we have a solution or a workaround despite our limited connection to the outside world. For this alone, I could thank God again and again as we have never felt so powerless. Back home, we have the internet and could get our hands on mostly any resource we need, but here, it feels like the wilderness. We could have panicked or fallen sick from the pressure of this project, which by the way, started with weeks of preparation and late nights up to the Fri before we packed for departure to Country X. Amazingly, the peace of God was a constant around us and stayed with us through it all.

What's more, this trip turned out to be a wonderful time to share with my colleague about God's provision, and was also a faith-building exercise for me. I learned to work with God rather than rely on the internet & all that it offered. For what seemed to be an impossible mission, God made it possible.

Praise be to God.
