Dear Sir/Mdm
With respect to the coming Parliamentary debate on the above subject, I would like to state that I'm against passing laws to allow same sex marriages or homosexual practices.
It's one thing to be open and embrace healthy changes over time, it's another thing to accept changes that undermine the moral fabric of our society.
Based on the gay movement that's taking place worldwide, I can only say that there's already ample evidence to suggest that acceding to this movement will only lead to irreversible moral and social decadence.
I urge the Government of Singapore to be firm in standing up to this movement and consider the future of Singapore, not just in material and economic terms, but also in moral and social terms.
As a nation, we have come this far only because we have not neglected the moral upbringing of our people in the pursuit of excellence. It's a foundational value that cannot, and should never be traded for anything.
Thomas
