It's mixed blessings, if you ask me. If I am able to sleep uninterrupted throughout the whole night, it means I have settled well into the new timezone which is 13 hours behind Singapore's. However, it also means I may have difficulty adjusting back to sleeping in Singapore when I am back end of this week. So, here I am, unable to sleep straight for more than 3 hours. Slept at 11pm, woke up 2.30am.
Honestly, & desperately-speaking, I would rather be able to sleep uninterrupted so that I am fresh for the daily conference. Trying to follow the goings-on of the conference is already a mighty challenge given that I don't hear well and the 40-odd delegates all speak with different (& mostly American) accents. What's more for a tired guy who's hard of hearing and trying to follow the details of such a conference? Really, I will think about adjusting back to Singapore timezone when I AM in Singapore; right now, I just need some sleep.
Psalm 127:2 says "for he grants sleep to those he loves".
Oh no, what does this mean?
Do pray for me, brothers and sisters in Christ. I want to remain in God's love and I need Him to grant me the sleep that seems to be eluding me.
