A new beginning

Transition, loss, brokenness and aging can bring a sense of uncertainty into our lives. "Where do I go from here? I have never been this way before". Grandma Threadgoode, a fictional character from the novel, "Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe" said, "A heart can be broken but it goes on beating just the same". From our human perspective, life is filled with uncertainties, some regard them as adventures and take on the challenges. Others crack under strain without confidence that the uncertainty would ultimately unfold into something good and the process upon reflection, purposeful.

You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
the days of my life all prepared before I'd even lived one day. Psalm 139:16 The Message.

We may not realise or even begin to grasp the truth that GOD knows our beginning to our end. He is fully aware of the moment when we are conceived in our mother's womb, to the moment when we will take our last breath. He knows what lies ahead of us each day. He is aware of the situations we will be in and when we choose to respond in the spirit of His law, we fulfill the scriptures, "for in Him we live and move and have our being". Acts 17:28 NKJV.

We are crafted in love. GOD thought of us fondly when He intently planned each of our lives. He has a purpose for each of His children, whom He calls by name. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he gets them all out, leads them and they follow because they are familiar with his voice. They won't follow a stranger's voice but will scatter because they aren't used to the sound of it." John 10:3-5 The Message.

Lost and royally clueless about what God has intended for you in the new year? Welcome to the club but membership expires when you get on the road with your Father, and He will lead you. He said, "Do not be afraid. Do not be weary.
Yes, I know your heart is heavy. Yes, I know the hurt your unkind words and deeds have inflicted on those around you. I am aware that you feel you have failed Me most. Misunderstood? I get some of those too. Now, leave them with Me.
Right here at the cross. It's a new year, don't you see? A new season! I have new things planned for you, and I AM with you. I AM the Lord your God".

My Father's words, the greatest assurance and the only anchor in my life and my faith. So I got up on my feet and left my burdens at the foot of the cross. They were never meant for me to carry into the new season, except to learn from my past mistakes and yield to Him for life. So I reached out, threw His armour over my shoulders. His sword in my hand.

Life is a miracle. He never intended for our hearts to be dull while we still have breath in us. And if you feel that life has lost its shine, turn to the One who is the source of life, Jesus. Be vulnerable, be very vulnerable; open your heart completely to Him. Let His love rush in and wash away past pains, present fears and future uncertainties. Living water will flow until it overflows from your heart. Living water will cleanse the heart until all the filth sustained from the world is removed. Until He sees a clean heart. And when that happens, you will be ready to receive a fresh garment of hope and purpose for your heart, for your life. One knitted non-other by God Himself.

P/S: I've heard that He does not skimp on colours.

Drink deeply,
