Daily Thots: If Safety is not the absence of danger, what is it?

An interesting quote from Our Daily Bread "Safety is not the absence of danger but the presence of God".

Hmm, I read somewhere that God plus one is majority. That sort of sums up the meaning of the presence of God and what it can do in times of trials. God's presence will make a huge difference. Remember Daniel and his friends in the burning furnace (Daniel 3:23-28)? The presence of God made the difference of life and death for them, despite the danger that they were in. Even the psalmist said in Psalm 23:4 "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me..."

May God bless you as you read these notes.
